Initial House Cleanings & Spring Cleanings done by Executive Maids are Detailed and Thorough
Initial cleanings and Spring Cleanings or Occasional Cleanings should be very thorough and the goal should be to get a house in tip top shape so that maintaining it on a regular basis does not take as much time. Executive Maids does very thorough, detailed Initial, Spring, and 1-time Special Occasion Cleanings. This is a basic listing of the tasks we will clean in your home.
Most of these tasks are routine..but we want to be sure that a really thorough job is done for the Initial Cleanings, Spring Cleanings, and Special One-Time Cleanings
Tall dusting – every room (vents, perimeters of rooms, crown molding up high
Detail dust entire home (everything on tables, bureaus, shelves, etc.)
Make beds (if clean sheets are left out, we can fully make a bed, if no sheets are left out, then we remake the bed with the same sheets.)
Clean windows (Only upon request of client). Inside and outside can be cleaned if windows tilt in. If windows do not tilt in, we can only clean the inside of the window glass panes. Always open the window and clean the gutter area.
Clean, don’t just dust mini blinds
Wash ceiling fans
Wash all woodwork, windowsills, ledges
Wash all doors (internal and external doors-both sides)
Clean all french doors (if they have them)
Look for and clean finger prints and dog nose prints everywhere
(walls, woodwork, doors, windows)
Clean light switches, phones, ashtrays, lamp shades and light bulbs – (do this before they are lit and get hot) Clean the outside of all major appliances (dishwasher, washer, dryer, etc)
Dust silk and real plants
Clean the outside of all kitchen cabinets
Clean and disinfect all counters (pick up everything on them and clean beneath the things on the counters)
Clean inside and out of the small appliances
Clean the outside of major appliances – top of refrigerator/outside of stove (hood, burners and knobs)
Clean inside oven and refrigerator (check with client)
do not use Easy Off on self cleaning ovens
Scrub back splashes in kitchen and bathroom Scrub the dish tub and drainboard
Scrub the floor tiles – use a scrub brush to get the grout clean Clean kitchen furniture (tables, chairs, etc.)
Scrub the trashcan
Edge the carpets
Vacuum the furniture
Clean behind and under furniture (that you can get to) Clean all trash cans throughout the house Clean the floors a couple times if necessary – rinse mop often Take up all throw rugs and clean under them and vac the rug really well, comb fringe if it has fringe
Clean all hard wood flooring, tile floors, etc.
Clean and disinfect everything in your bathrooms
scrub all wall tiles, not just in the shower/tub area
detail dust the bathroom
scrub tracks in shower and ledge of top of shower and the shower curtain pole
Scrub the floor tiles – use a scrub brush to get the grout clean
Scrub the trashcan
Basically, we will be doing a thorough overhaul of your home!
We won’t leave your home until it has been thoroughly cleaned!
